Origin rookie Reuben Cotter has been ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury during the warm-up of the Cowboys’ game on Friday.
Cotter joins Xavier Coates in the casualty ward after the towering winger suffered an ankle injury in game one.

Slater has reportedly turned to veteran Bronco Corey Oates and Titans utility Beau Fermor to bolster his squad, according to Channel 7’s Katie Brown.
Brown also confirmed that Murray Taulagi is available despite an injury scare in the Cowboys’ win on Friday. Taulagi is tipped to be the frontrunner to replace Coates on the wing.
Meanwhile, Jai Arrow is expected to be promoted to the 17 to replace Cotter after missing out on the side for game one.
Lindsay Collins was put on report for a dangerous tackle in the Roosters’ loss to the Eels on Saturday but in a relief for the Maroons he can escape with a $2,500 fine if he enters an early guilty plea.

Team Tips: Breakout Origin debutant Reuben Cotter is out with a hamstring injury and is set to be replaced by Jai Arrow. The Rabbitohs forward could yet start for Cotter given Patrick Carrigan made such a big impact in his bench role for Game one. Winger Xavier Coates is out for eight weeks with an ankle injury, with Murray Taulagi tipped to replace him after being included in the squad for game one. Hamiso-Tabuai-Fidow was in the mix too however he suffered a head knock while playing for the Cowboys on Friday and has been ruled out. As per Channel 7’s Katie Brown, Broncos veteran Corey Oates has been added to the squad and will give Slater plenty of options. Brown also reported that Titans second-rower Beau Fermor has also joined the extended squad. Kalyn Ponga was ruled out of the Knights’ loss to the Panthers after failing his HIA but he was cleared to play for Newcastle on Sunday. Boom back-rower Jeremiah Nanai missed the Cowboys’ Round 14 game with the ankle injury he suffered in Origin I, but was back in action in Round 15.
