Dulquer Salmaan says some people still think he can’t act
In an interview with Gulte Pro, Dulquer Salmaan was asked about his biggest fear. In the candid conversation, he shared that his character’s name in the film is Nadity Chakravarthy. He added, “I don’t believe I am a great actor. There is always a percentage of the audience who keep telling me that I can’t act. There will be some criticism, I keep reading. So in my head, am I not good? This fear is there.”In the same interview, the actor expressed that due to the same, he always tries to get better and “choose more challenging stuff.” He added, “To play someone who is known as a phenomenal actor Can I pull it off? Nobody should watch the film and feel like somebody else should have done it.”

While the makers have not said it officially, the film is believed to be a biopic on MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, the first superstar of Tamil cinema. However, the movie has found itself in legal trouble after B Thiagarajan, grandson of the legendary actor-musician Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, registered a complaint in a Chennai court to halt its release. As per him, the movie has depicted Bhagavathar in a wrong way, as someone with “loose morals.” He stated that the depiction is false and defamatory and also damaging the late legend’s legacy.Directed by Selvamanu Salvaraj, the film also stars Samuthirakani, Bhagyashri Borse, and Rana Daggubati, along with Dulquer. The first trailer of the film received love and appreciation from the audience. The movie is slated to hit theaters on November 14.
