Former Nickelodeon child star Tylor Chase was spotted back on the streets, just a day after his former co-star Daniel Curtis Lee helped provide him shelter for the holidays.
Tylor Chase back on the streets again
According to TMZ, Tylor was seen on the streets again, allegedly loitering outside a shopping plaza in Riverside, California. In a video, two men were seen giving Tylor new clothes and some rainwear to help him get through the downpour. They were also seen praying with the former star before heading on their way.
Daniel Curtis Lee shares update
Daniel Curtis Lee, who starred alongside Chase on ‘Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide’, took to his TikTok on Christmas morning, to reveal the heartbreaking update. Lee began his TikTok video by saying, “Happy holidays, everyone. I hope you’re somewhere nice and warm with your families. Unfortunately, Tylor Chase is not, and this is the case for millions of other Americans.”
Tylor Chase thrashes hotel
He went on to reveal that hours after checking Chase into the hotel, he got a call from management. Lee said, “Just that night, I received a call from management. They’re upset. The door is left open. Why is there a microwave in the tub? The refrigerator is turned over. I just feel so devastated. I am at a loss.”Lee also shared his regret over the hotel incident, as he admitted that his family had tried to check him into a hotel before, and it didn’t work. In his previous video, he also shared that his family tried to get him checked into a hospital as well, but that also proved futile.
Daniel Curtis Lee slams California laws
Lee then went on to slam the California law and the system that handles mental health crises and drug addiction. He said, “I don’t understand how a system could be in place, right? We have all these social systems where help should be provided for these people facing mental health issues, drug abuse issues, right? Taxpayers vote on this stuff all the time.”While calling out the system that seemingly does not enable third parties to help people with addiction and other mental health issues, he said, ‘I think that it is time to put in a call for 51 50, but I, I also need insight from you all. Do you think that’s fair to have a third party call and get someone entry into a facility when you know they need the treatment and they’re gravely mentally disabled?”“We have to do something before it’s too late for Tyler. We have to do something, guys,” he added.Chase’s former costars, including actor Shaun Weissalso stepped up to help and offer to help him get clean at a rehab facility. Weiss, who has been open about his past struggle with addiction, shared in a video his resolve to help Tylor. However, the Chase reportedly refused any treatment or medical attention.
