ACP's Thar mows down property dealer in Faridabad
A property dealer was killed in Faridabad after being run over by a Thar SUV allegedly linked to a local Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), officials said.

NEW DELHI: A property dealer was killed in Faridabad after being run over by a Thar SUV allegedly linked to a local Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), officials said. The victim, Manoj Kumar, had stopped at a restaurant in Sector 12 while returning from Vrindavan with friends when the incident occurred. Police are investigating whether the vehicle was being driven by the ACP’s son. A case of murder has been registered.In a separate incident, two people were killed and four others critically injured when a speeding Thar ploughed into an e-rickshaw carrying devotees near Baniya Bazar in Lucknow’s Cantonment area on Sunday.

Police identified the driver as 19-year-old Akshay Pratap Singh, a Merchant Navy course student and resident of PGI, Lucknow. He was allegedly driving his friend’s SUV at the time. Singh has been arrested and further investigations are under way.
