Amitabh Bachchan slams ‘no ethics’ amid Dharmendra’s leaked video controversy, calls it ‘disgusting’ |
Dharmendra‘s private moment with his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol inside a hospital ICU was recently captured in a leaked video, sparking outrage throughout the film industry and on social media. The unauthorized footage has raised serious concerns about the violation of privacy and the ethical standards upheld by medical institutions.
Amitabh Bachchan ’s response
Now, Amitabh Bachchan subtly addressed the controversy amid growing public anger. Posting on X, he remarked, “No ethics… koi bhi achaar-neeti nahi.” While he didn’t directly refer to the viral video, many see his words as a critique of the intrusive footage. In his blog, he went further, saying, “No ethics… no sense of responsibility… just an avenue of personal gain, without any consideration of the moment… Disturbing and disgusting.”
Dharmendra’s hospitalization and discharge
Earlier this week, Dharmendra was hospitalized at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he stayed under medical care for several days. On November 12, he was discharged, as the doctors agreed with the family’s decision for him to recover at home. The family issued an official statement saying, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home.” They also appealed for understanding, stating, “We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
Clarification on health rumors
While Dharmendra was receiving treatment in the hospital, misinformation about his health and even reports of his death circulated online. In response, his wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, made a public statement on November 11, assuring everyone that he was very much alive and on the path to recovery.
