Assam NRC: Supreme Court issues notice to Centre | India News
NEW DELHI: Supreme Court on Monday issued notice on petitions filed by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and the All Assam Minorities Students’ Union seeking directions to the Centre and the Registrar General of Citizen Registration to complete the process of the National Register of Citizens in Assam. Supreme Court sought their response on the petition alleging that no action has been taken in the last six years to operationalise the final NRC.
