The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the Class 12 Supplementary (compartment) Exam Result for 2025 on 1 August 2025, accessible on their official portals—including cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in. Students who appeared for the single-day exam held on 15 July 2025 across all subjects can now check and download their provisional scorecards online using their roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
CBSE class 12th supplementary result overview
A total of 1,43,581 students had registered for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2025, of which 1,38,666 students actually appeared. Out of these, 53,201 students successfully passed the exam, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 38.36%. Gender-wise performance shows a clear gap, with girls outperforming boys.While 41.35% of the girls cleared the exam, only 36.79% of the boys did, indicating that girls performed better by a margin of 4.56 percentage points. This performance trend reinforces the growing academic consistency observed among female candidates in board examinations.
How to check and download CBSE class 12th marksheet
Students who appeared for the CBSE class 12th supplementary exams can download their marksheets by following the steps given below:
- Visit cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, or cbseresults.nic.in.
- Click on the “Supplementary Examination Result 2025 – Class 12” link.
- Enter roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
- View, download, and save the digital marksheet.
- Print a copy until the original is issued via school.

Distribution of marksheet-cum-passing certificate
CBSE has clarified how students will receive their official documents:
- Regular Candidates: Will receive their marksheet-cum-passing certificate through their respective schools.
- Private Candidates (Delhi): Their documents will be sent to the examination centres where they appeared for the exam.
- Private Candidates (Outside Delhi): Will have their documents dispatched to the address they submitted in their application forms.
These certificates are vital for college admissions, CUET/NEET counselling, and migration certificates, and students are advised to track dispatch updates with their school or examination center.

The verification process for supplementary exam marks will begin on 6 August 2025.
