NEW DELHI: Amid rising air pollution, the Delhi government on Monday issued an advisory for it’s employees, private offices to operate with 50 per cent on-site staff, with the remainder continuing to work from home. The step follows directions from the Commission for Air Quality Management and aims to limit exposure while reducing vehicular emissions in the capital, reported AIR.Delhi environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “Under GRAP III, the government is proactively implementing pollution control measures with intensified focus on public health and air quality protection.” He added that staggered office timings have already been mandated for all government offices, including those under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), until February 2026. MCD offices will operate from 8:30AM to 5:00PM, while Delhi government offices will function from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.Over 2,000 enforcement personnel from multiple agencies are deployed to ensure compliance with pollution control protocols, Sirsa said. Private offices have also been urged to communicate these guidelines across all branches and implement them effectively.“The government will continue to issue all required directions to tackle air pollution and minimize its impact,” he added.
