According to the Bollywood Hungama report, ‘Haseen Maan Jayegi 2’ is in the works. As per the report, filmmaker Farhad Samji will be helming the project. Currently, the movie is in the scripting stage. An insider told the publication, “Smita Thackeray is keen to make a sequel to ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi’, and the scripting is underway in full swing. The second part retains the essence of the original film, but the story is revamped for today’s audience. She has signed Farhad Samji to write and direct the film.”As per the report, the makers wanted to rope in the original director, David Dhawan, for the sequel as well; however, the veteran filmmaker was not keen on doing the project. Reportedly, he didn’t want to revisit one of his own movies once again after ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Coolie No. 1’ (2020).The source further shared that Farhad Samji took the blessings of David Dhawan for the project. The person added, “The scripting is going on in full swing, and the makers aim to move to casting by March 2026.”As per the report, the makers want the top two actors of the current generation to lead the movie.
