After teasing fans with cryptic tweets, HBO has confirmed that the first trailer for ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 will be released tomorrow!The announcement comes alongside striking new posters featuring Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, portrayed by Emma D’Arcy, finally taking her seat on the Iron Throne. However, those who have read ‘Fire & Blood’ by George R. R. Martin know that her rightful assension to the throne of the Seven Kingdoms will not likely be an easy task and will also come with a great toll. “From fire comes darkness. #HOTD Season 3. Ahead of the trailer launch, the makers have begun promoting the series globally, with burned-down VFX banners appearing on landmarks in cities including New York and Paris. Set nearly 200 years before the events of ‘Game of Thrones‘, the series chronicles the rise and fall of House Targaryen. Season 3 is expected to give fans the most bloody and violent season yet, with multiple battle scenes set to unfold after a long build-up in Season 2.

Showrunner Ryan Condal has teased, “This is certainly our biggest season to date, both in terms of ambition and just the practical size, the amount of sets.” Hinting at the long-anticipated Dance of the Dragons reaching full intensity, he added, “I will say that the war this season goes very hot, very, very quickly. I think the people that were waiting and waiting for all of the horrible, brutal, pitiless bloodshed will be getting it in copious amounts.”
