Mahesh Babu learns Kalaripayattu for SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’ |
Post the success of films like Baahubali franchise and RRR, there is sky high expectation for SS Rajamouli. His next brings him with the best possible acting talent in the country with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran for his film Varanasi. Ever since the makers unveiled the film’s title glimpse, anticipation around the project has multiplied, with fans dissecting every frame and update. Adding more drama to the excitement is an Instagram post by noted Kalaripayattu martial arts trainer Hari Krish Kakani, who revealed that he has been training Mahesh Babu in the ancient Indian martial art. Sharing a couple of pictures with the superstar, Kakani wrote that he felt “proud and truly blessed” to have trained Mahesh Babu in Kalaripayattu. On the music front, the project reunites Rajamouli with his long-time collaborator M. M. Keeravani, further raising expectations and went on to win the Academy Award for Nattu Nattu from RRR. Despite his stardom Mahesh Babu has been struggling at the box office for the past many years his films like Guntur Kaaram or Sarkaru Vaari Paata have been unable to create the magic of his earlier films.
