Nitish Kumar meets PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah in a ‘courtesy call’

NEW DELHI: In his first visit to the national capital after taking oath last month for the 10th time, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar met PM Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah on Monday.Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, who is from BJP, accompanied Nitish along with Union minister Lalan Singh, of JDU, and later described the meeting with Modi as a “courtesy call”. Modi, he said, also provided guidance on attaining goals for “developed Bihar”. The double-engine govt in state is working at double speed, he added.After the meeting, Shah said NDA govt in Bihar, under the leadership of Modi and Nitish, is committed to steering people’s welfare and good governance to new heights. Nitish was sworn in last month after leading National Democratic Alliance to a smashing win, bagging 202 seats in 243-member assembly.
