‘Van Helsing’: Hugh Jackman’s monster epic set for free streaming release this March

It was Hugh Jackman starrer ‘Van Helsing.’ And if you’ve never experienced this CGI-heavy fever dream of a blockbuster, now’s your chance.’Van Helsing’ is heading to free streaming on Tubi beginning March 1.
About ‘Van Helsing’ and its star cast
The 2004 film directed by Stephen Sommers, stars Hugh Jackman as a Famed monster slayer Gabriel Van Helsing. The film also stars Kate Beckinsale as Anna Valerious, Richard Roxburgh as Count Dracula, Shuler Hensley as Frankenstein’s Monster, David Wenham as Carl, and Elena Anaya as Aleera. The film’s synopsis reads: “Famed monster slayer Gabriel Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) is dispatched to Transylvania to assist the last of the Valerious bloodline in defeating Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh). Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale) reveals that Dracula has formed an unholy alliance with Dr. Frankenstein’s monster (Shuler Hensley) and is hell-bent on exacting a centuries-old curse on her family. Together Anna and Van Helsing set out to destroy their common enemy, but uncover some unsettling secrets along the way.”

According to ScreenRant, critics generally panned the movie, but it limped along at the box office, earning USD 300 million on a budget of over USD 160 million.Previously, ‘Van Helsing’ was available for streaming on Netflix, before it was removed from the library on October 1. The film previously showcased his talent for thrilling adventures by helming ‘The Mummy’ and ‘The Mummy Returns’. After ‘Van Helsing’, he directed ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Odd Thomas.’
